Welcome to the GAA

About the GAA

The Georgetown Athletic Association (GAA) is the parent organization to all recreational youth sporting programs in the town of Georgetown, Massachusetts. Sports include Baseball, Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball and Field Hockey. We encourage all members of our community to get involved however they can. From becoming a board member of your favorite sport, to volunteering your time to coach or run a fundraiser, it's up to you to help shape the future of sports in Georgetown.

Sport Registrations

Each sport will communicate with its members about the opening and closing of registration. However, if you are new to town, or did not receive a notification, please check the top right side of this page for all open registrations for sports in the GAA. If you select a specific sport from the navigation above, the open registrations for that sport will be in the same place on their home page.

Georgetown Athletic Association COVID Policy

Participation Guidelines

Players, coaches, parents, spectators, referees, and other participants are not eligible to participate in GAA events if they have tested positive for COVID and should be in isolation, or are deemed a close contact and should be in quarantine, as specified by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Some town, city and regional Boards of Health as well as leagues may impose more restrictive measures for facial coverings for participants and spectators. If so, these restrictions take precedence.

The Georgetown Athletic Association takes participant safety very seriously.  Any violations of our Participation Guidelines will result in a review by our committee, and may result in disciplinary action including the possibility of suspension from all GAA activities.

General Information

If you have questions about a particular sport's season, please contact that sport's Board Members.  We encourage all to play safely and in line with state and local guidelines.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
