Our Mission
Georgetown Youth Flag Football League (GYFFL) was founded in 2007 by Scott MacDonald to provide an avenue for our boys and girls to have fun while learning and understanding the various skills specific to football, the importance of teamwork and the necessity of sportsmanship. The organization provides a safe, non-contact variety of football to teach the fundamentals of the sport and perhaps serve as the impetus for some players to go on to play full football at the youth and/or high school levels.

Our Affiliations
The GYFFL affiliates all players, coaches, and administrators with the Georgetown Athletic Association (GAA). In addition, as a result of registering for our league, each player and coach is affiliated with NFL Flag program powered by USA Football. NFL Flag is a program of NFL Play60 – The NFL movement for an active generation.

The GYFFL program is also affiliated with the Georgetown Middle High School football program. GYFFL players will have the opportunity to play exhibition games during halftime of home varsity games, serve as honorary water girls/boys and participate in other interactive programs that involve high school team members serving as instructors.

Our Season
The GYFFL operates from September through late November. Registration for our season typically opens in mid-summer .
