The Georgetown Basketball Program is offered to boys and girls in grades K-8 and focuses on developing fundamental skills in a fun, friendly environment. The program offers opportunities to participate in structured clinics, in-town leagues or competitive travel leagues.
Programs
Clinic
For boys and girls in grades K-1, the clinic provides newer players a chance to develop basic skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, sportsmanship and teamwork. Clinic sessions are held once per week. Clinics are held at GMHS in the Small Gym.
In-Town League
For boys and girls in grades 2-8, the In-Town program provides players of all skill levels the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a friendly, yet competitive league amongst his/her peers. The In-Town Program consists of one practice per week (weekday) and one game per week (Saturday). Games are played at Perley School, Penn Brook School or GMHS.
Travel League
For boys and girls in grades 4-8 who want to play at a higher level, Georgetown Basketball offers the opportunity to play in various travel leagues. Teams will travel throughout the North Shore, Merrimac Valley and Greater Boston for games. Travel teams will typically practice once per week with two games every weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
