This is soccer for the fun of soccer, so grab your cleats, shin pads, pinnie,(if you have one) water bottle and soccer ball and meet us at Penn Brook for some light training and tons of scrimmaging. There is no commitment or sign-ups (come once, or every Tuesday (boys) or Thursday (girls) all summer, no fee! (yes, this is free to all fall registered G4 and G6 players) and it is led by current GYSA coaches and Board members.
Depending on how many participants we get each week, we’ll split the kids up based on age and focus on stamina, ball skill and for the younger kids learning how to use the bigger field. Our goal is to keep up their soccer skills over the summer break, work on a few fundamentals and have a ton of fun just playing soccer.
Parents: If you stay at the field, we ask that you refrain from instruction from the sideline. Our intent is for this to be a fun and relaxed soccer opportunity. When it feels like a Saturday game, kids get stressed out. Thanks for your understanding.
