Due to the weather the Flag Football Kickoff Party and Punt, Pass & Kick competition scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Saturday Sept 19, 2009. The Punt Pass & Kick competition will begin at 3:00 PM with registration at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Field with the Kickoff party staring at 5:00 PM at the American Legion Bandstand.

On September 12, 2009 Georgetown Flag Football will celebrate the beginning of its Flag Football season with a Party at American Legion Park, starting at 3PM and going until 8PM.
For the first time, Georgetown will host an official NFL Punt, Pass & Kick contest starting at 3PM for ages (8-9), (10-11), (12-13) and (14-15), registration for the event is free and will open at 2PM. All Girls and boys who are age eligible are welcome to participate in the contest.
Following the PPK contest at 5PM, Footballers and families will be treated to an old-fashioned pep rally-like party that will include live music, raffles, food, games, and the sale of the football prize calendars. The winners of last year's Flag Football championships for each age group along with each team for this season will be introduced to the crowd during the party.

| The Georgetown Flag Football organization will be continuing the 2009 registration at the Town Hall on Thursday July 23rd and on Thursday July 30th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Signups for the Football skills clinic scheduled for August 15th at the high school will also be available during these times. |

Registration Fees: $75.00 per player (Family max of $175.00 for three or more players)
Registration cutoff: August 1, 2009

Ages: All players must be 5 years of age and under the age of 14 on September 1, 2009.
Coaches: If you are interested in coaching please make a note on your child's registration form indicating your interest in coaching.
Referees: We are looking for volunteers to referee these games. if you are interested or know someone who would be interested please let us know.

The GAA Flag Football group is eagerly awaiting the start of our third season. As we did last year most games will be played under the lights on Friday nights with some games played on Saturday and or Sunday afternoons/evenings.
Our 2009 season officially starts on Friday September 11th with a kickoff event scheduled for Saturday September 12th – more info to follow. The season will run into the middle of November with playoff games scheduled for the end of November.
